Diesel generators require a fuel storage and delivery system in order to operate. Our services are turnkey, design and installation of UPS diesel generators and code requirement upgrades for existing fuel storage systems. We are your only phone call needed.

Back-up diesel generators are required for emergency lighting and elevator use in apartment buildings, security systems for banks, emergency care within hospitals, ensure signals are maintained for cable companies and police communication requirements. The fuel system falls under the TSSA (Technical Safety and Standards Authority) codes and require updating as the codes are revised to become more specific to this need.

Today, outdated or out of code compliant fuel storage systems will not be filled. This is a real concern in light of the recent brown-out, which occurred in Southern Ontario and the expected continuance of fluctuating electrical stability. Property owners inadvertently found that their existing emergency back-up systems were insufficient to deal with this situation resulting in loss of standby electrical power.

Our clients include McMaster Hospital in Hamilton, Grand River Hospital in Kitchener, IBM, Bank of Montreal, Orlando Corporation, Walmart, the Canadian Federal Government and Star Choice.

Our site surveys are free, so don't be caught without a code compliant fuel system and no fuel for your generator. Contact us today!

How do I know if my back-up system is code compliant?

If it was installed prior to 1993 and you have had no upgrades since its installation, you are not code compliant.

How do I learn about the new changes to the code since 1993?

There are three acts that govern the diesel generator back-up systems. Similar to underground storage tanks, the Fuel Safety Act, the National Fire Code and the Energy Act all state the same thing regarding our industry. Please refer to one of these acts for the latest changes, or contact your specialist at Waterline for a free site survey.
